Neil

Neil is new to the freelance market after finishing a 3 year stint at JD Sports, working across their outdoor brands such as Millets, Blacks and Go Outdoors. Day to day, he got involved with all of the BAY copy including product, email, brand, landing pages, blogs and social media. As the most senior person in the team, he was also responsible for the ongoing strategy of the content and copy for each of the brands. Among some of his more notable projects, Neil identified that the brands could be offering tailored product advice to customers who were experienced cyclists, campers and walkers. He wrote a series of know-how and how-to articles centred around educating their customer base on the products with the aim of driving traffic through to the website. Neil came up with the concepts for each piece and also wrote each of them. In his spare time, Neil has successfully launched a podcast, written his own short story and writes book reviews for The Guardian.
