Have lots of examples of relevant work that match the role requirements.  If it is a technical role you need to be prepared for technical questions - don’t be caught out by not matching your skills to the role you’re interviewing for. Make sure you know how to use the software you’ll need in the role and prepare to give examples of your challenges and successes from previous employment.

4. Make sure you understand how their site works.

Have you gone through the journey to checkout? What works? What doesn’t? What do you like about it? Put yourself in the shoes of a customer and the shoes of company. Is the brand effectively communicated and do you understand what their brand experience goals are?

5. Competitor analysis.

What’s the market place like at the moment? Who’s doing what and leading the way? Who are direct competitors and are they better or worse? Show an understanding of their landscape, this is especially important if you are coming from a different industry. You’ll need to show that you have a real understanding of the space and confidence to work within it. How are you going to make a positive impact?

6. Be passionate!

The competition is high and personality fit goes a long way. They want people who will fit with the team, love fashion, love them and will be excited to come to work everyday.
