Thomas Cook has attributed an increase in sales to the popularity of its new marketing campaign featuring Jamie and Louise Redknapp.
The travel operator, which saw northern Europe holiday sales climb 16 per cent year-on-year over the past four weeks, said that the television adverts have helped performance.
"In recent weeks, bookings for the summer 2010 season have improved significantly, marking a positive response to our current marketing campaigns," remarked chief executive officer Manny Fontenla-Novoa.
He added that he is confident the firm will meet the board's expectations for the full year even though winter season trading is down, as cost reduction and a "strong" programme of summer holiday options will boost sales.
The television advert featuring the former footballer and his ex-singer wife Louise first aired on Boxing Day.
It was produced by marketing jobs provider Campbell Lace Beta, which also counts the NSPCC, Bupa International, Pilgrims Choice and Jackpot Joy as its clients.
